Your privacy means a lot to us, which is why this document explains our policy regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data. Controller of personal data: the controller is the company GOOD4DOGS d.o.o., which determines the purposes and means of processing your personal data (hereinafter also the organization).

Processor: a natural or legal person to whom the controller entrusts certain tasks relating to the processing of your personal data.

Online store user: a natural person who visits and shops in the GOOD4DOGS online store and, using the identity measures prescribed by this Privacy Policy, agrees to this Privacy Policy.

Personal data: any information relating to a buyer of the online store or a user of other online content and services.

Users of other online content and services: a natural person who uses online content or takes part in the controller’s events.

User support: a service that enables communication between the controller and users of online content and services.

Personal Data Protection Policy: an internal act of the controller or processor on the protection of personal data.

Individual’s consent: a freely given declaration of will by which an individual agrees that their personal data may be processed for a specific purpose, given on the basis of information that the controller must provide under ZVOP‑1; consent may be written, oral, or another appropriate form of consent.

The controller of personal data files is GOOD4DOGS, registration number 8074593000. Your personal data are processed on the basis of this valid Privacy Policy. The purposes of processing, retention periods, and other relevant information about the processing of personal data are set out below.

  1. Who is the Data Protection Officer?

  1. Who has access to your data and to whom do we disclose it?

In certain cases we provide personal data to processors who process personal data on our behalf. We have signed data processing agreements with all processors, which define in detail the purposes for which personal data may be processed and the measures processors must take to ensure appropriate security of personal data.

We may also provide data to organizations that have a basis in applicable legislation, your personal consent, or a contractual relationship for obtaining, processing, transmitting, or storing personal data. Some personal data are transferred to a data processor in the USA. The data processor in the USA is appropriately self‑certified under the Privacy Shield framework in accordance with strict personal data protection rules and safeguards.

  1. What data do we collect and process?

We collect and process only the data necessary to fulfill a contractual obligation or to achieve the purpose for which the data were collected. Within the online store we process the following personal data: first name, last name, address, email address, phone, country, website usage data, data from Google Analytics Solutions, and data from our bulk email tool. For newsletter subscriptions: email address, and optionally first and last name.

5.1 Comments

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data you enter in the comment form, the IP address, and the browser type in order to prevent and detect unwanted comments.

5.2 Images and other media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images and extract precise location data from them.

5.3 Contact forms

We store the data you send via contact forms on our website as received emails and in an inquiries list. We do not use your data for advertising or other analytics.

5.4 Cookies

While browsing our website, small text files—cookies—are stored on users’ and members’ computers along with content files.

If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again next time. These cookies last for one year.

If you have an account and log in to our site, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me,” your login will persist for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data; it simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

5.5 Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third‑party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

5.6 Analytics

We use Google Universal Analytics to analyze website traffic. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so‑called “cookies.” The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

You can disable Google Universal Analytics cookies at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you choose not to accept certain cookies, you will not be able to use some features on our website. If you choose not to receive personalized ads, you may still see ads online, but they will not be tailored to your preferences and browsing patterns.

5.7 Online Store

We also collect your data during checkout on our website.

5.7.1 What we collect and store

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this, for example, to show you recently viewed products.

Location, IP address, and browser type: we’ll use these for tax and shipping estimates.

Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can estimate shipping before you place an order and then send you an offer.

We also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

5.7.2 When you purchase from us

When you buy from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details (e.g., credit card), and optional account information such as username and password. We’ll use this information to:

Members of our team who have access to the data you provide are the store administrators. They can access:

Our team members have access to this information to fulfill orders, process refunds, and support you.

5.7.4 Payments via PayPal

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the total amount and billing information.

  1. Why do we process your data?

We process the above personal data for the purposes of issuing invoices, market analysis and service improvements, maintaining business and accounting records, recovering unpaid obligations, and for other purposes required by applicable legislation.

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (the fields you selected) for the purposes of:

  • informing you about business newsletters, articles, and changes in legislation;
  • analyzing your online behavior to improve your user experience;

All data in electronic form are stored on servers in accordance with sectoral legislation and our Personal Data Protection Policy, which binds our employees.

  1. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

We ensure the exercise of the rights defined below without undue delay and in any event within one month of receiving your request. We reserve the right to extend the deadline by up to two months, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. If we intend to extend the deadline, we will notify you within one month of receiving your request together with the reasons for the delay.

Where there is reasonable doubt as to the identity of the individual making a request concerning their rights, we may request additional information necessary to confirm the identity of the individual to whom the personal data relate.

If requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on the request.

In accordance with applicable legislation, you may exercise the following rights related to the processing of personal data:

9.1 Right of access

The user has the right to obtain confirmation from the organization as to whether or not personal data concerning them are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and additional information about the processing. 9.2 Right to rectification

The user has the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, the right to have incomplete personal data completed. Send rectification requests to: branko@good4dogs.eu.

9.3 Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)

The user has the right to obtain the erasure of personal data concerning them without undue delay, and the organization has the obligation to erase personal data without undue delay where no lawful ground prevents erasure or where the organization has a legal interest to retain the data for a certain period (e.g., statutory retention obligations, evidencing fulfillment of contractual obligations). 9.4 Right to restriction of processing

The user has the right to obtain restriction of processing of their personal data in accordance with the prescribed purposes of processing. You can request restriction by sending a request to: branko@good4dogs.eu.

9.5 Right to data portability

The user has the right to receive the personal data concerning them, which the organization holds, in a structured, commonly used, and machine‑readable format and the right to transmit those data to another controller where processing is based on the user’s consent. 9.6 Right to object

On grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object at any time to processing based on the organization’s or a third party’s legitimate interests, including profiling. The organization will no longer process the personal data unless it demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds which override your interests, rights, and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

9.7 Right to lodge a complaint

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner if you believe that processing of your personal data infringes data‑protection rules.

  1. Changes to the Privacy Policy

As we update and expand our services, we may change this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change any part of the Privacy Policy without prior notice. The amended Privacy Policy takes effect on the date it is published on the organization’s website.
