Good4Dogs Online Store – Terms and Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions of the Good4Dogs® online store comply with the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot), the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-1), and the Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-1).

The Good4Dogs® online store is operated by GOOD4DOGS d.o.o., Trata XIII 2, 1330 Kočevje, company registration no.: 8074593000, VAT ID: SI84662247, which is also the provider of e-commerce services (hereinafter also the “seller” or “Good4Dogs”).

These General Terms and Conditions govern the operation of the Good4Dogs online store, the rights and obligations of users and the store, and regulate the business relationship between Good4Dogs and the buyer.

The buyer is bound by the terms and conditions valid at the time of purchase (submission of the online order). Each time an order is placed, the user is expressly notified of the General Terms and Conditions and, by submitting the order, confirms that they are familiar with them.

The General Terms and Conditions apply on all pages of the Good4Dogs online store and take effect immediately upon entering the site. We reserve the right to make any changes—partial or complete—to any part of the terms without prior notice. Changes apply from the moment of publication. We do not undertake to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information on the online store pages, nor the accuracy and completeness of textual or image materials. The product photo and the actual appearance of the item may differ. We reserve the right, for a defined or undefined period, to limit or completely stop the sale of some or all products, to limit or completely stop access to the online store, or otherwise limit or stop the store’s operations.

We reserve the right, in exceptional cases, to partially or entirely withdraw from fulfilling an order if the ordered products are out of stock or the service can no longer be performed, if we determine increased payment risk for the buyer, if the order was not placed in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions, or if there is an obvious error in the price list. In all such and similar cases, we will immediately notify you of any withdrawal from the contract on our part.

We accept no liability for any damage to your hardware or software resulting from visiting and operating the online store pages, nor for any damage related to products purchased in the online store.

By a one-time login to the Good4Dogs online store via email, a visitor becomes a guest; by confirming registration in the Good4Dogs online store, the visitor becomes a Good4Dogs member. Both the guest and the member (hereinafter also the “user”) gain the right to make purchases in the Good4Dogs online store.

Payment Methods

Currently, you can use the following payment methods:

  • Payment by credit/debit card
  • PayPal
  • Payment by proforma invoice (bank transfer)

Only one-time payment is possible. Until full payment of the purchase price, the products remain the property of the Seller.

Pre-orders are paid in advance. The goods are delivered within the agreed time. We reserve the right to extend the delivery period due to technical or other errors in the process. In this case, we undertake to duly inform the customer. Please inform us if you have not received any notification from us and more than two working days have passed since the purchase.

Payment by Pro Forma Invoice

After selecting the “payment by proforma invoice” option and placing the order, you will receive a proforma invoice by e-mail. We will execute the order after we receive the payment into our bank account (TRR). For faster processing, you can notify us of the payment by e-mail at hello@good4dogs.eu

PayPal

If you choose “PayPal” and submit the order, you will be redirected to PayPal’s payment pages. We will process the order after receiving PayPal’s confirmation.

Payment by Credit Card

After selecting the “credit card payment” option, you will enter your card details (debit, charge or prepaid cards: Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, American Express, Discover) and complete the purchase.

Successful payment automatically completes the purchase and confirms the order.

In case of online credit card payment, if the customer cancels the order or changes the method of payment, please inform us at hello@good4dogs.eu

Invoicing

After delivery of the ordered items, Good4Dogs sends the buyer an invoice in PDF format to the buyer’s e-mail address.

The invoice lists the price and all costs related to the purchase as well as information on the right to withdraw from the contract.

The buyer must check the accuracy of the data before placing the order. Later objections regarding the correctness of issued invoices will not be taken into account.

Prices

All prices include VAT, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Prices are valid at the time of placing the order and do not have a pre-determined validity period.

Prices apply in case of payment with the above-mentioned payment methods and under the above-mentioned conditions.

Despite our best efforts to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information, pricing errors can occur. In this case, or in the event that the price of the item changes during the processing of the order, Good4Dogs will allow the buyer to withdraw from the purchase.

Discounts, promotional codes etc. are generally not cumulative. The discount on an individual item and a promotional code are cumulative.

Funds paid via gift vouchers, bonuses and proforma invoices do not bear interest. Gift vouchers and discount bonus codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

Payment and Credit Cards

In the case of payment by debit or credit cards, the following additional conditions apply:

  • the payer (account data) must be the same person or organisation as the cardholder
  • after the order confirmation has been received, it is no longer possible to change the content of the order or the final amount of the order, except exceptionally with the approval of Good4Dogs.

Discount Codes (Coupons)

A discount code brings various benefits when purchasing through the Good4Dogs online store and is time-limited. An active discount code can be found on the homepage of the advertisement, on the page of an individual department, in our e-newsletter or other media.

If the buyer uses a discount code but later cancels the order for which the code was used, they are no longer entitled to a new benefit from this code.

Use of a discount code:

  • Select the items you wish to buy and add them to your cart. The value of your order must be at least EUR 1 higher than the value of the discount code. When you have finished adding items to the cart, continue by clicking the Checkout button. Select the delivery method, enter the delivery address and choose the payment method.
  • In the same step, enter the discount code in the “Gift voucher, promotional code, discount code” field and confirm with the Apply button. If you wish to use several discount codes at the same time, enter them in the field at once and separate them with a comma or space. Then click Apply.
  • After entering the discount codes, the value of the discount codes is automatically deducted from the price of your order in the last step – Order summary. The remaining amount is what still needs to be paid.
  • A discount code is a one-time code, meaning it can be used only once.
  • The combination of different types of benefits (discount code, promotional code and bonus) within the same order is not possible.

Participants in the prize game can be natural persons who are citizens of the Republic of Slovenia. Employees of the organiser and their immediate family members as well as employees of other legal entities connected with the execution of this prize game cannot participate. Legal entities cannot be participants in the prize game. Persons who do not accept the rules of the prize game cannot participate. It is considered that the participant has accepted the rules of the prize game by participating in the announced prize game.

Rules for participation in the prize game

Participation in the prize game does not require the purchase of services or products of the organiser.

Electronic prize draw

All participants of the prize game may take part in the draw. A participant may participate in the prize draw only once. The result of the draw is final. Appeals are not possible. The winner will be informed of receipt and the method of collecting the prize by e-mail.

Obligations of the winner

Payment of the prize in cash is not possible, nor can it be exchanged for another item.

The winner is obliged to send the organiser in writing (by e-mail) their personal data – name, surname, address, e-mail and telephone number and tax number – no later than two days after receiving the notification that they are the winner.

Payment of all taxes on prizes (including VAT) is the responsibility of the organiser. The organiser will send the winners a certificate in accordance with the Personal Income Tax Act and the regulation on submission of data for tax assessment. The winner is obliged to declare the value of the prize in their personal income tax return. Upon collection of the prize, the winner must sign a statement on receipt of the prize. The organiser is not responsible for taxes that may arise in connection with any other prizes. If the winner does not fulfil all obligations, it is considered that they do not wish to accept the prize, and thus the organiser is free of all obligations under this prize game towards the winner and acquires the right to use the prize for any other purpose. Prizes are non-transferable.

If the organiser of the prize game, within three (3) working days from the moment the notification is sent to the winner that they have been drawn, for any reason (e.g. the winner states that they do not wish to accept the prize, address or e-mail is incomplete or incorrect, etc.) does not receive all necessary data and the statement that the winner wishes to receive the prize, it is considered that the winner does not wish to accept the prize, and thus the organiser is free of all obligations under this prize game towards the winner and acquires the right to use the prize for any other purpose.

Personal data protection

The organiser of the prize game protects all personal data obtained from participants during the prize game in accordance with regulations governing personal data protection. The organiser may use personal data obtained from participants exclusively for the purposes for which they were collected. The participant agrees that the organiser may send them information regarding the organiser’s offers. The participant or their guardian or legal representative may at any time revoke their consent to the use of personal data obtained during the prize game for direct marketing purposes. The organiser reserves the right to organise the prize award as a public event. By participating in the prize game, the participant allows their name and address to be used in the organiser’s audio, photo and video materials. The winner allows the organiser to publish their personal data in the media and on the internet for the purpose of informing about the results of the draw and the collection of the prize.

Publication of prize game rules

By submitting their data via the entry form on this page, participants in the prize game agree that they are familiar with the rules and undertake to act in accordance with them. In case of any dispute or ambiguity, these rules shall prevail over any other publications, whether in printed, electronic or any other form.

Order Notification Process

  1. Good4Dogs Order

After placing the order, the buyer receives a notification by e-mail that the order has been received. In this e-mail, the buyer is also informed about the policy of withdrawal from the contract, where to turn in case of delivery delays and where to turn in case of complaints. A Good4Dogs member always has access to detailed information on the status and content of the order on the Good4Dogs website. Good4Dogs reviews the order, checks the availability of the ordered items and confirms the order or rejects it with a reason.

For verification of data or to ensure accurate delivery, Good4Dogs may call the buyer at their contact telephone number.

For the supply of items that Good4Dogs does not have in stock in its own warehouse, Good4Dogs is exclusively dependent on its supplier and on the time in which the supplier can deliver the item to Good4Dogs.

Good4Dogs informs the buyer by e-mail about up-to-date information regarding the delivery of items. If the delivery time is very long and the buyer does not wish to wait, they can inform Good4Dogs, which will remove the item from the order and refund any already paid funds, while the other items in the order will either be delivered or the entire order cancelled, according to the buyer’s choice.

Good4Dogs accepts no responsibility for damage arising from longer delivery times or from non-delivery of items that Good4Dogs does not have in stock in its warehouse, unless such damage was caused intentionally or by negligence by Good4Dogs or a person for whom the company is responsible.

  1. Delivery Arrangement

Within the agreed time, Good4Dogs prepares and ships the item.

On the day of delivery, you will also receive an SMS from the courier/driver.

If the buyer decides to cancel the order in time, they must immediately notify the Seller by e-mail at hello@good4dogs.eu

Consumer’s Right of Withdrawal

The consumer (this applies exclusively to natural persons who acquire the product for purposes outside their gainful activity) has the right to notify the Seller within 14 days of receiving the products that they withdraw from the contract, without having to state a reason for their decision. The period starts on the day following the date of receipt of the products.

The consumer notifies the Seller of withdrawal from the contract via the Seller’s e-mail: hello@good4dogs.eu

The withdrawal form is available to the user here.

In case of withdrawal from the contract, the consumer returns the received product by post to the company’s warehouse address: GOOD4DOGS d.o.o., PE Rajndol, 1330 Kočevje, or personally delivers it there by prior arrangement.

The return of the received products to the company within the withdrawal period does not count as a notice of withdrawal from the contract. A written statement of withdrawal is required.

The consumer must return the product to the Seller undamaged and in the same quantity, unless the product has been destroyed, spoiled, lost or its quantity has decreased without the consumer being at fault. The consumer may not freely use the products until withdrawal from the contract. The consumer may perform inspection and testing of the products to the extent necessary to establish the actual situation. The consumer is liable for any decrease in the value of the goods if the decrease is the result of handling that is not strictly necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

The only cost borne by the consumer in connection with the withdrawal from the contract is the cost of returning the products (which, in the case of shipping, is charged according to the courier’s price list and depends on whether it is a letter/parcel/freight). The product must be returned to the Seller no later than 14 days from the day the notice of withdrawal from the contract (purchase) was sent.

Withdrawal from the contract is not possible for goods:

  • the price of which depends on fluctuations in markets over which the company has no influence and which may occur within the withdrawal period

  • made according to the consumer’s precise instructions and adapted to their personal needs

  • which, due to their nature, are not suitable for return, are perishable or quickly expire

  • services performed, if the company has fully performed the contract and the provision of the service started on the basis of the consumer’s explicit prior consent and with their consent that they lose the right of withdrawal once the company has fully performed the contract

  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, if the consumer has opened the seal after delivery; this includes the purchase of pet food where the packaging has been opened or damaged

  • goods that are inseparably mixed with other items due to their nature

  • digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, if the provision of the service started on the basis of the consumer’s explicit prior consent and with their consent.

Refunds of payments made, including delivery costs (except for additional costs due to the consumer’s choice of a type of delivery that is not the cheapest standard delivery method offered by the company), will be made as soon as possible and no later than 14 days from receipt of the notice of withdrawal from the contract. The company refunds the payments using the same means of payment as used by the consumer (most commonly by payment to a transaction account), unless the consumer has expressly requested the use of another means of payment and does not incur any costs as a result.

In the case of withdrawal from the contract where a bonus, discount code or promotional code was used, these funds are considered a discount and are not refunded to the user. Only the paid amount is refunded. The gift voucher is considered a means of payment in case of withdrawal from the contract and is returned to the user as a gift voucher, while the paid amount is refunded to the user.

In exceptional cases, where the products are not returned in accordance with ZVPot, we may offer the consumer the purchase of the product with appropriate compensation, which is determined in a written record at the time of return. The buy-back with a reduced value is taken into account upon the consumer’s confirmation by e-mail. The consumer can use this compensation exclusively when ordering another product of equal or higher value.

The right to a refund of the purchase price in case of exercising the warranty and material defects is more precisely regulated by the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (consolidated text).

Warranty

Products have a warranty if this is indicated on the warranty card or invoice. The warranty is valid when the instructions on the warranty card are followed and the invoice is presented. Warranty periods are stated on the warranty cards or on the invoice. The warranty return form is available here.

Information about the warranty is also provided on the product presentation page. If there is no information about the warranty, the product has no warranty or the information is not available at that moment. In such case, the buyer can contact Good4Dogs, which will provide up-to-date information.

More information is available on the “Withdrawal from the contract policy” page.

Material Defect

The consumer may exercise their rights arising from a material defect if they notify the Seller of the defect within two months from the day the defect was discovered. In the notice, the consumer must describe the defect in detail and allow the Seller to inspect the item.

The Seller is not responsible for material defects that become apparent after two years have passed since the item was delivered. It is considered that the defect already existed at the time of delivery if it appears within six months of delivery.

The consumer who properly notifies the Seller of the defect has the right to demand that the Seller:

  • rectify the defect on the goods or refund part of the amount paid in proportion to the defect, or

  • replace the defective goods with new, faultless goods, or

  • refund the paid amount.

When is a defect considered material? When:

  • the item does not have the properties necessary for its normal use or for marketing

  • the item does not have the properties necessary for the particular use for which the buyer bought it, and which was known to the Seller or should have been known

  • the item does not have the properties and qualities that were explicitly or tacitly agreed or prescribed

  • the Seller has delivered an item that does not match the sample or model, unless the sample or model was shown only for information.

How is the suitability of the item checked?
It is checked with another faultless item of the same type, and also with the manufacturer’s statements or information on the item itself.

How is a material defect claimed?
The buyer must notify us of any material defect together with a precise description within the statutory period and at the same time allow us to inspect the item. The material defect report form is available here.

The right to claim a material defect is more precisely regulated by the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act.

Collection of Items Returned from Handling

The buyer is obliged to collect the item which they handed over to the Seller for warranty or other processing after the processing is completed. If they sent it by post, it will be returned to the delivery address.

The Seller sends the buyer a notification about the return of the item from processing and invites them to collect it. The buyer must collect the item within 14 days from the day of the notification.

If the buyer does not collect the item within the specified period, the item is handed over for storage to the Seller at the address of its warehouse: GOOD4DOGS d.o.o., Rajndol, 1330 Kočevje. The Seller stores the item in its own warehouse until the expiry of 6 months from the date of the notification. For this period, the Seller is entitled to reimbursement of all storage costs (EUR 1/day) and reimbursement of all costs necessary to preserve the item.

After 6 months from the date of the notification, the Seller may sell the item through the Good4Dogs online store and transfer the achieved purchase amount to the buyer after deducting the Seller’s sales and other costs. If the value of the item is negligible, the Seller may donate it for charity, in which case no refund is due to the buyer. The Seller shall inform the buyer 15 days before the expiry of the 6-month storage period of the planned sale or donation of the item, and after the sale also of the achieved price and the amount of costs and of the transfer of the remaining purchase price to the buyer’s transaction account.

Open-Box Items

Products with open packaging have been returned to Good4Dogs and may have minor defects (damaged packaging/product, open packaging, etc.) and are offered for resale. The type of defect or condition of the product is stated in writing for each item (in the product description and on the invoice).

Returned items are checked at Good4Dogs, so despite the return, open packaging etc., they still work normally. A new warranty period is determined accordingly and stated in writing for each item.

In case of malfunction of the returned item, the customer is entitled to a warranty repair and to withdrawal from the contract within the same periods as for other items.

Type of defect for products labelled “Open packaging”:

  • Open packaging: The item has open packaging but is fully functional and complete. The price is additionally reduced and the stated warranty period applies.

  • Damaged packaging: The item has damaged, incomplete or non-original packaging but is fully functional. The price is additionally reduced and the stated warranty period applies.

Reviews, Opinions, and Recommendations

Reviews, opinions and recommendations written by customers are part of the functionality of the online store and intended for the community of all users.

Good4Dogs allows any online store user to write an opinion, which is checked by Good4Dogs before final publication. Good4Dogs will not publish opinions or contributions that are in any way offensive, inappropriate, or which, in Good4Dogs’ opinion, do not provide value to other users and visitors.

By submitting a review or comment, the user expressly agrees with the terms of use of their review or comment and allows Good4Dogs to publish part or all of the text in all electronic and other media. Good4Dogs has the right to use the content of the review or comment indefinitely and for any purpose that is in Good4Dogs’ business interest, including publication in advertisements or other marketing communications. The author of the review also declares and guarantees that they own the material and moral copyright for the written reviews and comments and that they non-exclusively and indefinitely transfer these rights to Good4Dogs.

Limitation of Liability

Good4Dogs makes every effort to ensure that the information published on its website is up-to-date and correct. In such a case, Good4Dogs will inform the buyer of the changes and allow them to withdraw from the contract or exchange the ordered product.

An obvious error is considered to be an error in the essential characteristics of the item and all errors that according to trade practices or the purpose of the parties are considered decisive and which Good4Dogs would not have confirmed or concluded the contract if it had known about them. This also includes obvious pricing errors.

Complaints and Disputes

Good4Dogs respects the applicable consumer protection legislation. Good4Dogs makes every effort to fulfil its duty to provide an effective complaint handling system.

In case of problems, the buyer can contact the Seller Good4Dogs by e-mail at hello@good4dogs.eu

Complaints are submitted via e-mail to hello@good4dogs.eu

The complaint handling procedure is confidential.

Good4Dogs is aware that the essential characteristic of consumer disputes is the disproportion between the economic value of the claim and the time and costs required to resolve the dispute, which is also the main reason why the consumer does not initiate legal proceedings. Therefore, Good4Dogs makes every effort to resolve any disputes amicably.

Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes

In accordance with legal standards, GOOD4DOGS d.o.o. does not recognize any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider as competent for disputes that a consumer could initiate under the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act.

As a provider of goods and services enabling online sales in Slovenia, Good4Dogs publishes an electronic link to the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform on its website. The platform is available to consumers here: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home.show&lng=SL

The above arrangement derives from the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act, Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 on online dispute resolution for consumer disputes, and amendments to Regulation (EC) No 2016/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC.
